"Coordinated and Accurate"

With over 15 years of 3D modelling and drafting experience, Riecon specialises in preparing construction drawings founded on accurate and coordinated 3D modelling. Operating across multiple modelling packages including Autodesk Revit and Infraworks, Riecon is experienced in coordinating complex infrastructure and industrial projects. We also provide residential, structural, and coordination documentation. Some of our drafting and modelling services include:

We provide highly detailed design layouts, elevations, sections, and details that are clear, easy to read and not cluttered. We understand the importance of ensuring that respective trades understand what is required to be built and the standard of quality expected.

Portal frames to bridges, dado panels to braced box, HV steel structures to custom brackets. Accurate structural modelling is a ‘given’ at Riecon.

Seeing steel reinforcement properly modelled doesn’t just look cool; it is the perfect way of determining if the reinforcement is functional. It’s not just about checking the cover. Modelling the reinforcement bars can highlight areas of bar congestion, bar convergence, hold-down bolt and conduit clashes, strand arrangement, and concrete vibrator restriction.

Cut/Fill, bulk earthworks, trenches, batters, gradients, kerbs, footpaths, hardstands, retaining. Accurate terrain modelling ensures gradients are correct, pipe cover is maintained, and quantities are accurate.

From house plumbing and factory reticulation to industrial ring mains and high-voltage conduits. Ensuring services are modelled and documented correctly assists with better clash detection and model coordination. Know which services need attention before construction commences.

With modern reality capture laser scanning now the norm, point cloud data is the way forward for quickly obtaining existing conditions with millimetre accuracy. Converting point cloud data into accurate 3D models, be it for As Constructed or new design works, is an important part of most projects.

Buildings move. Over time, especially if built on reactive soil, buildings will move up, down, sideways or even a combination of all. Some building elements crack while others tilt or buckle. If a building is built, it will age. But gone are the days of relying on the straight edge and spirit levels as our go-to tools for straight and plumb. With laser scanning technology, Riecon can efficiently review millimetre-accurate point cloud models and report on floor sag, wall buckling, column lean and much more.

An important part of securing stakeholder buy-in, whether from investors, local authorities, future tenants, or even the project team to achieve the desired outcomes, is promoting a clear and stunning visual of the project goal.

Accurate records of what was actually built, and what was different from the construction drawings are often an overlooked aspect of the project. Rarely given the appropriate time and attention, ‘As Constructed’ or ‘As-built’ drawings are an important part of project closure. These records prove invaluable during the DLP. Not to mention the time and cost savings if in the future the project is expanded or modified. Riecon places great emphasis on preparing accurate ‘As Constructed’ documentation.

At Riecon, we pride ourselves on producing millimetre-accurate models set on real-world coordinates and height datum. Always eager to promote project clarity and coordination, we love sharing models with other consultants. As advocates for project efficiency, we aim to supply project models and documentation in the format that best serves the project.
